Social Business Day 2023

The Social Business Day is an annual global gathering organised by the Yunus Centre to celebrate and share the accumulated experiences of social business leaders and entrepreneurs spearheading our path to a sustainable and just future from all corners of the globe.

The 13th Social Business Day will be held in Langkawi, Malaysia, July 27-28, 2023. The conference will focus on the theme "War, Peace and Economics: Future of Human Beings." Additionally, on July 29, 2023, Academia & Yunus Social Business Centre Meeting and the 3ZERO Club Convention, will take place.

We are also reminded that the scope of taking action to counter the ongoing process of deterioration will be much shorter than a century. After that time, the planet will enter the red zone, where the ongoing process of worsening will become irreversible. All actions to reverse the process will have no impact whatsoever. Within the little time we have, only extraordinary bold actions initiated immediately can save humans and other life forms from this massive disaster. The impact of these actions can push forward the red zone and give us time to re-organise the world for our dignified survival.

The conversation at Social Business Day will inspire bold actions and urge global leaders to take tough decisions on fossil fuel and plastic alternatives, peace and war, restoration of forests, saving ocean floors and creating a new civilisation driven by human values of sharing and caring. The conference will be an exciting event to help rediscover ourselves and our journeys to create a world of three zeros- zero net carbon emission, zero wealth concentration for ending poverty, and zero unemployment by unleashing entrepreneurship in all. Stories of social businesses leading with compassionate, practical, and long-lasting solutions will hold a new framework to eradicate destruction caused by war, global warming and the pandemic by finding a creative solution to restore economic growth through social business.

The Social Business Day 2023 will feature keynotes, plenary sessions, workshops, and country forums to help us plan and chart our future actions towards creating a new civilisation in a worldof three zeros.

Join the conversation at the 13th Social Business Day on July 27-28, 2023 and Academia Dialogue and 3ZERO Club Convention on July 29, 2023: Celebrate the best of human creativity, ingenuity, and entrepreneurial spirit.

We look forward to welcoming you to SBD 2023 soon!
