Cats can be real trouble but we love them regardless. Those furry felines can make anyone feel loved in no time at all.
And this is exactly why a cat is so good as an ESA. But not all cats make good ESAs. After all, they are stubborn creatures.
So, how do you decide which cat to adopt as an ESA? I will make this very simple for you.
I am going to list a few cat breeds that make the best ESA and you can choose one of them as your own.
Breed #1: Ragdolls
Ragdolls are one of the most affectionate cats out there. They are so lovable that people call them “puppy cats”. This is because they are as friendly as a puppy. I know, shocking.
They will follow you around the house if they have ESA letter for housing and will lovingly cuddle with you.
They are very easy to train which makes them a good breed for an ESA. Like a puppy, you can teach these cats many tricks.
Breed #2: Siamese
Siamese cats are very vocal and have a rather loud personality. This also means that they are very demanding creatures. This is good for you if you have depression or PTSD.
Also, the Siamese are known to be very loyal and affectionate creatures.
They form a great bond but with only one or two people. Once that bond is formed, they will stay as close to the person as possible.
Breed #3: American Shorthair
This one is really the classic ESA. Most families adopt these furry creatures as pets. And why is that? Well, it is because of their nature.
An American shorthair is a mild creature. They get along with everyone. They are very good with children and can be extremely gentle and kind.
I know this is super rare in cats who tend to be aggressive. Well, this one is not so you can easily keep it as an ESA.
Breed #4: Maine Coon
The best feature of a Main Coon is how intelligent they are. This makes them ideal for an ESA because their intelligence makes them trainable.
They can easily understand your commands and then follow them.
Also, because of their intelligence, they understand humans on a deep level. So, they will easily be able to provide emotional support when you need them to.
Breed #5: Persian
I know, you are already tempted. Everyone loves a Persian cat. They are so beautiful. But they are more than just that.
They are domesticated animals. Most of the Persian cats are kept as pets all over the world and they make great pets.
They are gentle cats who remain very expressive. They demand attention from their owners and are quick to give cuddles.
However, their thick coat of fur makes for hard grooming so if you have any allergies then best stay away from this one.
Breed #6: American Bobtail
If there is one thing I can say about an American Bobtail, it is that they are extremely loyal.
This breed of cats is a relatively new one and was only made official recently but they have existed for some time now.
These cats are small creatures which makes them all the more lovable. They are only half the size of a normal cat but make up for it in their active nature.
This active nature involves a lot of cuddles.
A bit of advice!
If you truly want an ESA cat then you will need an ESA letter. There are many online websites that can give you a cheap after connecting you with a licensed medical healthcare professional.
Be careful, though. There are many scammers on the internet. So, first, look for an ESA letter sample so that you will know what an ESA Letter really looks like. Then you can get in touch with a genuine website to get your letter.
So, what are you waiting for? Go and find a good website right now!
