Grameen Telecom Trust

On Monday 30^th May, 2016, Grameen Telecom Trust (GTT) signed Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) with SDRS at Grameen Bank Auditorium, at the 262^nd Social Business Design Lab.  This is the 3^rd social business of GTT with SDRS as partners.  The ceremony was presided over by Chairman of Grameen Telecom Trust, Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus. Ms. Parveen Mahmud (Managing Director, GTT) & Mr.  Md. Golam Mostofa (Executive Director, SDRS) signed the agreement on behalf of GTT and SDRS.

 The project will be sponsored with the recouped fund of the first two social businesses with SDRS. Kisholoy School is a School of Technology base (Digital) Education where disadvantaged children of the char area will receive IT based education. The objective of the project is to provide quality education through digital system to the remote ‘Char’ areas of Fulchori Upazilla (sub-district) under Gaibandha district. The school already has enrolled 93 children in play group. A total of 3 teachers are teaching in the school and more teachers’ will be appointed in future.
