Dr. Maria Teresita Pastor-Medado is the President of Asia Pacific College (APC), an educational partnership between SM Foundation and IBM Philippines. She joined APC in 1994 and assumed the role of President in 2018. Dr. Medado led innovations in teaching and learning challenged by the progressive change in the workforce in a highly technology-enabled industry.

Beyond her responsibilities at APC, Dr. Medado actively participates in leadership roles in philanthropic organizations. She serves as a Board Member of ARISE – Philippines, and the Convenor of the Women International Network in Disaster Risk Reduction Philippines.

Furthermore, she holds board membership in other educational institution, such as the MFI Polytechnic Institute, Inc., and a member of the Advisory Board of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA).

Dr. Medado was honored with the Outstanding Leadership Award at the Summer Edition of the Education 2.0 Conference held in Las Vegas, USA in July 2023. She also served as a resource speaker in the second edition of the QS Higher Ed Summit Americas 2022 sharing among higher education professionals, tools and knowledge for educational innovations.

As technical expert in Alternative Learning System, Dr. Medado holds several notable positions in this field. She continuous to serve as the Head of the Technical Committee on Alternative Learning under the Technical Panel on Teacher Education of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). Additionally, she has been commissioned by UNESCO Jakarta in various research and development programs on Alternative Learning in the past five years.

Dr. Medado earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Management from De La Salle University-Manila and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of the Philippines. Her multifaceted contributions underscore her commitment to educational leadership.
