Before joining Grameen China, Gao Zhan served as a journalist of the National Development and Reform Commission’s internal references “Reform Internal Reference” and “China Reform”, deputy director of the journalism department of the National Development and Reform Commission. Grameen China is dedicated to helping the low-income people especially women who live in poverty, build their small businesses, get out of poverty and live better life, through replicating the Grameen microcredit model in China. Gao Zhan also serves as the Secretary-general for Foundation for Yunus Social Business China, promoting Social Business in Greater China. Gao Zhan is also Director of Asian Financial Cooperation Association, and Expert Member of China Micro-credit Companies Association.
