Syrel Z. Aplaon is the Director for Accounting, Finance and Insurance of Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation.  She joined NWTF in 1998 as the first Audit Manager of the Foundation.  A year later she was seconded to the CASHPOR Network as the Finance Manager and concurrently as Auditor for partner Microfinance Institutions.  In 2004, she returned to NWTF as the Transformation Officer and worked on NWTF’s application to start a Microfinance Thrift Bank to the Central Bank of the Philippines, and was assigned to Dungganon Bank, Inc. when it started its operations in 2005.  After nearly 10 years at the bank, she moved back to NWTF to head the Accounting, Finance and Insurance Department.
