Prof Balakrishnan is an alumnus of Loyola Madras; IIMA; ISB Hyderabad; IESE Business School Barcelona and SCSVMV Chennai. He has 22 years’ business experience across various sectors, technologies and functions followed by 17 years in higher education. He is active in teaching, consulting and research and serves/d on the boards of many companies.

Dr Balakrishnan has many publications to his credit and teaches abroad regularly in Barcelona, London, Boston, Kansas, Warsaw, Sydney & Budapest. He has won many academic & research awards including one as the Best Director. Teaching & research interests span strategic management, entrepreneurship, CSR and social business.
