Prabhat Pani has joined Tata Trusts in 2016, and currently is the Head - Partnerships and Technology. The Partnerships role seeks to identify, forge and nurture synergies with like-minded entities, and co-create programs for the benefit of the communities served by Tata Trusts. The Technology arm leverages use of cutting-edge technology for innovative solutions that magnify the impact of various programs undertaken by Tata Trusts, including analysis of data collected on ground towards more effective design and implementation of programs.

In his earlier role at Tata Trusts, Prabhat has managed the Tata Water Mission (which aims to create a healthy future for underserved communities through access to safe drinking water, and improved sanitation and hygiene), and Digital interventions (which focuses upon promoting digital literacy in rural India, and on improving governance by using the power of data in micro-planning).

Earlier, Prabhat has worked in the for-profit space. His last assignments were as Executive Director in TajSATS Air Catering, and CEO of Ginger Hotels. He has wide experience across India in large companies engaged in the FMCG, Telecom and Hospitality spaces, with a large part of this experience in various for-profit entities in the Tata Group.

Prabhat holds a degree in Engineering from BITS, Pilani, and Post-Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM, Ahmedabad. He has been associated over many years with the CII, and associated with academics, as a visiting faculty with prominent Indian Business schools.
