Nasir Ali Mamun has already crowned the founder of portrait photography in Bangladesh. For more than four decades he is on his odyssey to taste the grit and glamour of iconic portraits in a country like Bangladesh. His subjects happen to be creative figures and celebrities.

Mamun's works achieved much acclaims in 57 solo exhibitions at home and abroad. His camera captured many rare moments of rarer humans in a spirit of discovery. Light and shadow form a marvel of art in his hands, in figures of black and white alone. There are 12 of his books available in print today.

As a personal photographer of Professor Muhammad Yunus since 1978, Mamun accompanied the Nobel Peace Laureate across the globe. The cherished photographer was born in Dhaka on July 1, 1953. He grabs history with camera and his portraits are priceless for the people, history and time.
