Before joining Grameen China, GAO Zhan served as a reporter of the National Development and Reform Commission’s internal references “Reform Internal Reference” and “China Reform”, deputy director of the journalism department of the National Development and Reform Commission. He is also a visiting scholar of the US State Department.

Grameen China is dedicated to helping the low-income people especially women who live in poverty, build their small businesses, get out of poverty and live better life,  through replicating the Grameen microcredit model in China.

Grameen China has successfully launched projects in Yunnan Province, Henan Province, Jiangsu Province and Shenzhen City.
