Dr. Michael Roy

An economic sociologist and public policy specialist, Dr Michael Roy’s main research interests relate to thinking about and evaluating social business as a form of health and well-being ‘intervention’. Michael teaches on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and is Programme Leader of a Masters in Social Business and Microfinance.

 

He continues to present his work and contribute to conferences and workshops in many different countries internationally.

 

A skilled project and programme manager, social entrepreneur and – from over a decade working in the Scottish Government - policy analyst, Michael was also a freelance consultant working with a range of public sector and third sector clients on research projects and on business and policy development.
